So the DDT has finally been launched and we must say that we have been looking forward to raping Europe with the other two bands Illdisposed and Urkraft. First gig is in Copenhagen. Allmost 600 paying people without guestlists! Nice… We meet up with tourmanager Julia who, just had two days off, after her tour with Death Angel, and Flo our roadie/tech. guy. As we could imagine this night becomes a wild party with lots of our good friends… People were pumped with metal and everything went fine. With our veins filled with booze we packed our stuff (only one backline fortunately) and headed towards the east of Germany.

Fuck The Commerce

Wakes up at 1pm…shitfaced… gotta play at 2 pm. throw my self out my bunk..still a bit drunk. Grab our gear and the stagehands arrives to carry our gear. We play on the festival backline. Changes to my Skynyrd tshirt and short. Puts on my cymbals. No soundcheck, no line check. Count to 4 and play. All though it’s pretty early and most of the people has’nt shown up yet it’s pretty fun. After the two first songs we agree to pound a beer…feels good. Urkraft is next and a bit more people show up. The Master singer Paul Speckmann is the festival presenter and he’s pretty cool. I’m sure that they could hear him shouting the bands out loud in west Germany. Illdisposed is on at 10PM I think and when you don’t have anything to do… well then you hit the bar. So again everybody got shitfaced and Bo Summer’s german jokes is improving rapidly.

Walpurgis Metal Days Festival

Today is my offday. The partying from the other nights finally gives me the red card and pushes my body on the substitutions…. Let’s just say that yesterdays meatloaf saw the daylight again today. The Festival is a bit more established and theres lots of people. Unfortunately Urkraft and The Burning are playing early again all though our names are as coheadliners on the posters and programs. Because of an unknown incident from last year with some underaged dudes everybody has to show their passport to entrance the festival. Illdisposed plays a good concert and the tent is filled with people. I go to my bunk early and my newly bought Ipod Touch wins my respect (i’m not fond of Apple products).

Club Vaudeville Lindau

Propably one of the coolest venue we have been to. A small “Biergarten” is placed outside the bar and the Urkraft guys shows their Uno-psycosis. Those guys are mental about that game… (and they wup’d my ass). The Place is a bit bigger than Voxhall and the catering is fantastic. After dinner we play an unknown game to man called “shoot the ball up in the air and hit expensive parked vehicles” with Franz’ football. We do a great gig and return to the tourbus (which is pretty cool; dvdplayer, big bunks and a kitchen).

Metropolis Münich

Munich is next. With a tattoo convention 100m from the venue this evening must be a blast. But I don’t think the Munich people enjoys partying after 3 days of heavy drinking because of the holidays. I think about 100 people showed up and we all played an ok show. Again Franz’ football were a hit. I can’t believe I stopped playing soccer in my prime at serie 6 (Franny agrees that I am a wasted talent). Next stop “Die Alpen”.

Bergwerk Milstatt

People are starting to wake up pretty early because when the bus stops so does the aircondition and first floor turns into a baking oven that smells of babypoo. A bit hung over I step out of the bus and realize that I am close to heaven. This country is filled with mountains and beautiful forests. Just to inhale the clean air is amazing. Batten, Klaage and I spend the afternoon with a bag of beers at a lake close to the small venue. So the batteries are now fully charged and we are all a bit sceptic about the 2X3 metre “big” stage”. But the Austrian fans surprised us. The place is packed and Johnny’s german jokes are a huge hit! By far the best show yet, with an amazing crowd! We stay after hours and after a couple of rom’n'cokes I choose to hit my bunk on the bus.

Woergel

Maaaan Austria is a fantastic country. We have arrived in a small town called Woergel. The weather is begging for Franz’ yellow football. Some of us leave the tourbus which has become a pretty disgusting place to hang out, especially upstairs is one big mix of Rasmus’ farts and 18 peoples’ sweat. It’s a mess. We decide to take a walk in the countryside but after a couple of kilometres our bodies are aching for a beer. The venue is a pretty cool place and we all play a decent show allthough not that many Austrian people show up.

Salzburg, Rockhouse

We have all been looking forward to this town. Just like always I wake up with a hammering headache, realizing that the aircondition has stopped because the bus has stopped - I’m bathed in sweat. I think the time is half past 2 and Batten sticks his head out of his bunk. We hook up with Franz and Klaage in front of the bus and decide to do some sightseing. Salzburg is a very beautiful city and so are the women..harhar. We find a bar at a big square and we order some beers. One beer leads to the other and the time is 5 o’clock when we return to the tourbus, only pausing for a quick pitstop at a bosnian hotdog stand… two sausages in one hotdog..nice! After the show the bartender invites everybody to a big party a couple of minutes from the venue. We crash a 1000 people gymnasium party which ends at 2 o clock. Pretty weird. Everybody goes back the bus..except Franz.

Wien, Viper Room

100 tickets in presale. This night is gonna be good. But the place could sure need an elevator ’cause it’s no fun pulling gear down 3 stories of stairs. We try to do some sightseeing but fail….reason=hangovers. The room is packed and people are hungry for some metal. We leave at 3 AM.

Zedtwitz, Hof

Back to east Germany. In the middle of nowhere, I realize that we can actually play football at a real soccerfield. We also find a poker set and Thomas from Illdisposed vipes everybody’s ass although it’s his first time plyaing. I guess that’s just a Silkeborg-thing… We all play a great show though with miserable sound.

Hamburg

I wake up in my bunk at 1 P.M. and realizes that we are in Hamburg and almost everybody in the bus is out sightseeing. I crawl to the bathroom and do my thing and walk out of the bus. Klaage and I decide to grab some food in the city. We try to hunt down some english breakfast but end up with Burger King. Not a good solution. The venue (Markthalle) opens and we do the load in. It’s a nice venue with one small and one big stage. We will play the small one. Our stagetime is 21.15 and people seem to like our heavy tunes. We meet our friend and Hatesphere-fan Jens Müller (48 shows with Hatesphere!!) who has driven 300 km to see The Dynamite package. Urkraft plays a very good show, maaaan they play fast! And Posen delivers a good show as usual.

Train, Århus

Finally….home. It feels great to be home again and ending the tour with a show in Århus. My girlfriend picks my stuff up and I go to Kupé to watch AGF-Brøndby with Bo. We spend the day chilling around at Train and everyone feels a bit weird, propably because of exhaustion and anticipation of going home in your own bed. Aprox. 100 tickets has been sold in presale, so I guess it will be ok considering that people propably have been hammered Friday and Saturday. We kick the show of at 20.15 because Train has to stop the koncert at 23.15 so they can prepare for the disco crowds. That is why we prefer playing Voxhall instead = no curfew + metaldisco + Gulddame on tap. The night turns out great and Rasmus, Johnnny and I all have guestappearances during the Illdisposed concert…good fun.

The Danish Dynamite tour has been a blast. A big shout out to all the bands…u guys rock! And for the record….The Burning will not change their name to “Johnny fra The Burning”. Sorry Bo
