Vocals - with the bad kinda delay
Hello everybody out there!
Hope everyone is doin’ good.
The plan was, that our studio diary should have been updated, during our two days of vocalrecordings at Jacob Hansen Studios. Unfortunately we didn’t get the time, as we were so damn busy doing the vocals. But - here it is. A report from Jacob Hansen Studios:
Saturday the 29th:
We arrived at Jacob Hansen Studios about 15:00 in the afternoon. We’re here talking about Jakob, Nikolaj, Martin and I. Guess we all had just a little hangover in the back of hour heads, cause the day before (Friday) we played our very first concert in Copenhagen at The Rock. This was really a killer concert. Thanx a lot to all of the/you people who came, and banged your head as we played our debutconcert at Lorteøen (Shitty-Island) ![]()
But - back to the studio;
We came and started the vocalrecordings, just after getting some pizzas to cure our “hangovers”. Jakob insisted that Martin was gay, as he did not order a no. 5 with extra cheese, like the three other of us did. Funny
The vocals got started. From the very start, it was very easy to hear that his vocalsound, has changed a little bit. Not in a bad way!, oh no!, not at all! - But it has changed.
Don’t know if it was because, we were out drinking and screaming that day just before, our because he’s grown (more fat
haha… No..), but I think I can say, that the vocals are more “Swedish”, in raw, brutal and cool way. Anyway it’s for sure gonna be kill’er.
We worked until about 02:00 in the night, and then we got home and hit our beds. Two tracks were done. Not enough.
Sunday the 30th:
I woke about 09:00 in the morning. Damn I was tired and wrecked. So easy to feel that too many things were planed, in too few days. But no time to complain - back to record vocals we were going. After getting the first three cups of morningcoffee, we were rolin’ again.
The plans was to start as early as possible, and get all rest of the vocals done. This just had to be done, so we get right on, and recorded almost without breaks til about dinnertime. After eating and havin’ a pretty long break, we ran into the worst thing that we ever could - computerproblems! Damn it!
First we/I tried fixing it by myself. Actually for a cuple of hours I tried. Nothing happened. We were alone at the studio as Jacob wasn’t there, and since it was not a late Sunday night, we couldn’t call Jacob to get support from him to help us out.
We kept trying to fix it, but after endless tries, the clock was 02:00 a late Sunday night, and had to give up.
This was like the worst thing that ever could have happened, as we now have to wait about 20 days to do the rest of the vocals. None of us have got the time to do it before. “It sucks pretty bad onions”!
This was ment to be the very last blog of the 2008 Invisius studio recordings.
I would be perfect, as we were ment to be done with recording everything now - but as we just said, we still need vocals for three songs, before the mix and mastering.
But still this blog will end here.
Here in the end - we all want to say thank you for reading the studio diary of our 2008 debutalbum recordings ![]()
Also thanx to Revolution-Music.dk for letting us blog all this at their site
I’ve now posted the very last pictures and videos from the studio (+ a video from this weekends show at The Rock in Copenhagen!) just below.
Check em’ out, and stay cool people.
We don’t know when the first singles will be online, and ready for listen - but you can always stay tuned and be up-to-date at www.myspace.com/invisius !
Once again :
Thank you so much for reading everyone ![]()
We can’t wait to get this baby out in the stores for you guys!

Finishing at CB Studios
About Day 6:
In the last few days, our working process has been very very constant. Thuesday the guitar tracking went on til almost 23:00 in the evening. Friday the tracking went on til about 02:00 in the morning. After tracking Friday night, a little beerdrinking went on til 05:00 in the morning. Then Jeppe T and I got up at 08:00 Saturday morning, to do the bass tracking. It was such a tough morning, to get up and start working. But the bass tracking went on til 14:30 in the afternoon. Then we had to get all of our gear, and drive to Fredericia, to play at Ungdommens Hus. No rehersal time or anything. That ment that we (or maybe just I) played a pretty lazy show. Definatley not our best! Pretty “bad” ending on the Still Unsigned 2008 Tour. But it was nice seeing all the guys + guests at Fredericia, and also nice to get a little away from the studio.
Already an hour after off-stage, we went back to the studio in Holsted. A very tired band went right to bed.
Today, Sunday - Day 7:
Today we’ve been in the studio for a week. Pretty easy to feel, as we’re all started to get seriouslie tired, and even more lazy than we’ve been before. But this day had also had some very ”bright” times. The Invocator/The Arcane Order guitarist Flemming C. Lund came by! He came to record a guest solo on one of our tracks, and it really came out great! Flemming played a hell of a solo! Thank you for your great job Flemming
The clock is now about 23:15 in the evening, and all guitars are now done! Hell yeah!
The rest of the bass will be done within the next few hours, and then we’re actually done with our recordings at CB Studios!
We acutally planed to be here, til Monday night - but we can do it without the last day. But - we also have to work pretty late tonight. We’re still counting on speding the next few hours of the night recording the last stuff.
As we’re now finish within a few hours, this actually will be the last blog from CB Studios. Next weekend we’ll enter Jacob Hansen Studios to record the vo-kills for the record. That means that we’re gonna take a little break, form this bloggin’.
I will of cause give you all an update in the following week.
I’ve posted the last pictures from CB Studios just below.

Fake takes it’s form
As you’re caught in a studio with a few other sweaty, smelling guys - things might not get as funny as the first days at the studio was. And after a while you might also feel quite bad, a little angry and also maybe even smelly you self. But! The ProTools “Copy/Paste Function” might be the only way, not to blow your mind and freak you out - so thank you ProTools and the “Copy/Paste Function”
The Invisius debutalbum has really started to look like something - “The Fake Takes It’s Form”
The blog wasn’t updated yesterday, so here we have a dobble-up-date from the studio:
Yesterday I left the studio about noon, so guess I don’t even have a lot to tell. The guys told me that the whole day went with tracking guitars and editing drums. Not much to tell, but borring and uninteresting things also had to be done… I guess. But guitarplayer Jeppe T went on tracking guitars until pretty damn late in the night. His a cool motherfucker
Today I came back to the studio about 10:00 in the morning. Some of the guys were still sleeping. Frontman Jakob and I went to the local baker to get a FLAAAJ SNEEGL (Dawn Of Demise
) for breakfast. Niiice! Jakob and I also spend a lot of the day, searching for boogers in our noses! Haha! View the pictures for details :p
Today went on as yesterday. We have been tracking guitars, leads and editing drums all day long. Right now the clock is about 01:00 in the morning, and we’re still working. Right now on finding the right basssound, so we can start recording tomorrow morning.
Our producer Christian have had a long day now, and he’s still working. Also a damn cool motherfucker
Tomorrow we’ll (as told) be lying down all bass, and then we’ll all leave the studio, drive to Fredericia, and play the last gig at the Still Unsigned 2008 Tour at Ungdommens Hus! It’s gonna be great to get a little bit away from the studio, and to play live again!
Hope to see all of you guys in the pit tomorrow!
I’ve posted videos and pictures just below… Again… Enjoy!

All drums recorded!
Hell yeah people! Today it’s Wednsday, it’s about 19:00, we’re done for today - and all drum recordings are now done! Simply great!
I started out my day, by sleeping til about 12:30 in the afternoon. Guess I was tired after a night with too much gaming Need For Speed Underground 1 on the playstation, with the other guys. We really had fun during that! This game saved our night
Todays recording went as told, by recording all drums, but we also started out recording the first guitars, in that “studio 2″ that i wrote about yesterday. It was a great idea lunching that also. The working process simply moves much faster this way, and already now we’ve seen results - all guitars are also done for first track! Guitarplayer Jeppe T did a straight n’ tight job today doing that!
You should check out the amp that he used. It’s shown at one of the pictures! Haha!
Loser!
Tonight our frontman Jakob will finally arive to the studio! It’s gonna be great seeing that sucker again ![]()
But also our good friend Jacob Bloch of the band Synthetic Torture came by for a visit (again) today.
Personally I’m gonna take off from the studio today. But I’ll already be back Friday morning. But that means that this studio blog aren’t gonna be updated tomorrow. Crappy.
But else there’s nothing left to say, than things are going well here at the studio. Everything seems good. No doubt about that this debutalbum will a killer release!
I’ve uploaded more pictures just below.
Enjoy mothertruckers!

Blasting away-day
Hi again people. Since we were slow updating the first parts of our diary, I decided to write this blog earlier this time. Here we go!:
The day started out very good. We got up pretty early, ate breakfast, and just started right away recording more drums. It was done pretty well, and recorded in only about half an hour! Nice start. Nikolaj did a good job. Some editing was done, and actually we just went on doing another track afterwards. So two drumtracks are done, and right now the clock is still only about 15:00 in the afternoon. We’re still counting on doing at least one more track, before we’ll stop for today.
Another thing there’s gonna happen, is that I’ll get some of my own studio gear brought up here to the studio. So on we should be abel to start the first real guitar-recordings in a “studio 2″. This should help us not wasting time, and even while everything is going quite as they should - we can’t get enough studiotime. No one can
Even while we’ve only got few drumtracks recorded, it’s already easy to say, that the drums are way better than our last EP. Drums are now more vary, more speedy and with a lot more killer-fills and funny stuff. Gonna be cool I can tell!
I guess there’s nothing left to say, than we’re lookin’ farward to our frontman Jakob to join us here at the studio tomorrow night.
I’ve posted new pictures and videos from all three days, just below! Enjoy!

Entering The Studio
Hi everybody outthere!
Thanx a lot for reading the official Invisius Studio Diary.
In this blog you’ll be abel to follow the young Danish metalband Invisius, as they’re recording their first full lenght album, during March and April at CB Studios and Jacob Hansen Studios.
Welcome everybody.
Sunday the 16th of March - Day 1:
We’re entering CB Studios (www.cbstudios.dk) in Holsted, Denmark. This is the same place as we did our pricewinning EP “Edge of Hostility” just a year ago. Once again it’ll be recorded by producer Christian “Behringer” Bonde - nice and skilled guy!
But - we entered the studio about 21:00. Pretty late, but Sunday wasn’t ment to be a recording-day anyway.
We got everything to the studio, and spend the night chillin’ with some beers and talking about the recordings. Kind’a nice - but we’re missing our frontman Jakob, as he will enter the studio a Wednesday. That means that it’s only Jeppe T, Martin, Nikolaj and I who’s in the studio at the moment…. Actually also Synthetic Torture vocalist Jacob Bloch - but that only as guest
.
We got to bed early, to be ready for the first drum recording the next day.
Monday - Day 2:
Here we go! Finally it was Monday and time to start the recording! Hell yeah!
We got all drums set up. But unfortunatley we just couldn’t find the right sound for Nikolajs snaredrum. It sucked, but after tryin’ out three snare’s, and tuning a lot, we finally found the right snare sound - and it’s a killer one!
We could finally start the real recordings of the drums.
We thought we’ve already been through all problems, as the snaredrum was tricky - but no way. I personally did a huge f**kup, as I left the key to our appartment, and afterwards closed the door after me. Always a stupid thing to do.
It ment that we couldn’t get to the appartment getting our snack for almost five hours!!! Still can’t believe that we survived the borring studiotime without - but we did
.
Actually the key-problems, are also the reason why our first reports from the studio are delayed. Sorry.
In the end of the day, we had almost two drumtracks ready. Pretty good, as we had to deal with some problems — we think
Tomorrow we’re counting on recording another three drumtracks. Let’s hope we’ll have less problems, and get ‘em done!
I’ve postet some videos on you YouTube, but since YouTube is pretty slow uploading, they’ll first be posted tomorrow.
I’ve also posted some pictures that you should be abel to watch just below this text.
Stay tuned for more studio diary tomorrow boys n’ girls!
